The children were brilliant at learning and reading facts about animals. We have been learning facts about crocodiles, penguins, and tigers.

Willem learnt that Emperors penguins are carnivores and that they like to catch fish to eat. They like to eat Krill, squid and their favourite Arctic fish.

Bibi learnt that crocodiles can’t sweat, so they open their mouths to cool down.

Layla learnt that tigers have fur and their babies are born alive. The mothers feed their babies milk. Tiger cubs are blind when they are born.

The children learnt Jack Harman’s penguin dance and rocked to Crocodile rock by Elton John. At the end of the assembly the children chose to have the parents leave whilst they sang the lyrics to Roar by Katy Perry.
