Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope that you are well and have had a good week. As always, the school has been busy with a range of different activities, from Governors meetings, to a Community Allies meeting, educational visits to assemblies.
My assembly this week was focused around disability, both seen and unseen. I started by showing this picture.

I spoke about how many people need different adaptations to help them access school or work, successfully, from glasses and ear defenders to wheelchairs and hearing aids. I spoke of the need for understanding and support where necessary to help our friends.
Next week we shall continue the theme by listening to individual children’s experiences.
Year 2 Trip to The Royal Festival Hall
Despite the train delays and hailstones, year 2 had a lovely day at the Southbank and Royal Festival Hall yesterday. We saw the London Philharmonic Orchestra perform The Snail and the Whale story live, with the film on the big screen. It was lovely to hear the children singing their hearts out and enjoying the sounds of the orchestra in such a special place.
Thanks so much to all the parents for supporting us and making the day so fun.
