Marianne’s Mini Mindfulness Tips
Welcoming Spring - take a walk in nature, a local park, your garden or just sit with one of your house plants and begin to notice the early signs of spring. If you are outside use your senses. What can you see - the colours, the sound of birds. the smell of the grass, the texture of things, as well as how being outside actually makes you feel. and think about welcoming spring with our senses.
Mindful Eating – take something like a tangerine and enjoy every aspect of eating it, peeling it, smelling it as you peel, counting the segments once the skin is off, tasting it. Use your senses as you eat. Could also be done with some chocolate!
An Attitude of Gratitude – at the beginning or end of the day make a note of what you are grateful for – a person, something someone has done for you, the beauty of the morning. Perhaps spend the day with the intention of noticing the things you really appreciate and are glad for.
